Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Cleared 2 Checkride at cleared2checkride.com (the "Service"), operated by [legal entity name, state] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service does
You upload photos of your paper pilot logbook. We use automated tools, including AI image processing, to transcribe entries, total your hours, and compare them with selected FAA requirements (currently 14 CFR 61.109(a), private pilot airplane single-engine) and the sample endorsements in FAA Advisory Circular 61-65 (current revision). We produce a readiness report and CSV files.
2. Not FAA, legal or instructional advice
The Service is a preparation aid, not a substitute for review by your authorized flight instructor (CFI) or designated pilot examiner (DPE). It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA. Reports may be incomplete or wrong. AI transcription can misread handwriting, and rules can change or be interpreted differently. Eligibility for a practical test is determined only by your instructor, the examiner and the FAA. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of your logbook and for meeting all requirements. Never alter your official logbook based on our output without your instructor's guidance.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email link. Keep access to your email secure. You must be at least [16/18] years old, or have a parent or guardian's consent, and give accurate information.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to your logbook photos and data ("Your Content"). You give us a limited license to store, process and display Your Content only to provide the Service to you, including sending images to our AI processing provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Upload only logbooks you are entitled to share (normally your own).
5. Payments
Previewing the first page is free. A full checkride check is a one-time fee shown before checkout (currently [$24] USD per check), processed by Stripe. We don't store your card details. 6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no reverse engineering, scraping, overloading, uploading malware or unlawful content, or uploading other people's records without permission.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING A FAILED, CANCELLED OR RESCHEDULED CHECKRIDE, EXAMINER FEES, AIRCRAFT RENTAL OR TRAINING COSTS), AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. 8. Termination and deletion
You can delete any audit and its photos at any time from My account, or ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Changes, law and contact
